Jessica Bolaños, a dynamic force in the startup ecosystem, digital media, and social impact, has been revolutionizing the storytelling landscape for 2 decades. As a first-generation Colombian-American with family roots in Bogota and Cali, Jessica has woven her diverse cultural perspective into her work, making significant strides in her work with tech founders, entrepreneurs, VCs, educators, and social impact sectors, primarily out of Houston, Texas.

Her journey began as a contractor and brand ambassador, collaborating with giants like L'Oreal, MTV, and Dodge/Chrysler. Her diverse experiences range from her time in the music and entertainment industry, including a stint as a touring freestyle hip-hop dancer with Maxim Magazine & Anheuser-Busch, to selling cosmetics alongside stars like Lizzo.

In 2013, Jessica, along with her partner, Nelson Vanegas, embarked on a mission to empower organizations through digital storytelling and fundraising, co-founding Goodspero, a creative video agency that supports founders, funders, and startup ecosystem partners with fundraising, origin stories, brand growth, and awareness through video storytelling and digital content creation. The launch of their creative agency has led her team to work with impactful organizations such as Impact Hub Houston, TEDxHouston, the Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Houston’s Bauer College of Business, Softeq Venture Studio, Dream Big Ventures, and LISC Houston among others.

Jessica’s long-term endeavors reflect her commitment to innovation and impact. She has been at the forefront of new video technologies and digital media since 2007, advocating for social and economic impact through diverse media platforms. Her continuous studies in digital content, AI, venture capital, tech, and startup accelerators underscore her dedication to staying ahead of the curve.

Giving back remains a cornerstone of Jessica’s ethos. She actively engages in KIVA micro-lending, supporting entrepreneurial and educational initiatives of women in Bolivia, Peru, and Kenya, and mentoring student entrepreneurs at the UH Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship. She’s also served on the board and remains involved with the Houston Association of Hispanic Media Professionals, providing scholarships and career opportunities to Latino/a communications students and professionals.

Jessica's life outside her professional sphere is filled with interests ranging from reading and writing non-fiction, micro-blogging, documentary content creation, filmmaking, and listening to music from Beyonce to indigenous artists.
